Policy amendment – Robust ICT Systems

Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) Policy 11: Robust ICT systems has been amended to introduce a definition of legacy information and communications technology (ICT) for the purposes of the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).

A standard definition in the PSPF will provide entities with greater clarity on what constitutes ‘legacy’ ICT and will drive more accurate and consistent reporting on the scale of use and reliance on such ICT.

More accurate reporting will provide government with improved oversight of the risks posed by the ongoing use of legacy ICT and assist in more strategic prioritisation of uplift and/or replacement activities.
